WEST is written and illustrated by Fogblitz. Inspired by his love for cowboys and the supernatural, he works on the webcomic as a love letter to the media he grew up with. The story lends inspiration from the likes of Cowboy Bebop, Reservation Dogs, RDR2, Sangfielle, Westerns, biblical references, and classical Greek influences.The story delves into themes of found family, LGBTQIA2S+, and political commentary, though Fogblitz chooses not to lead with these keywords, as he feels his work dives much deeper into the complexities and nuances of life than a few selling points.
